My Weblog: The Gospel Preacher.

In Ecclesiastes 3:1, it is written, "3 To every thing there is a season, and a atime to every purpose under the heaven. "  There is a time to weep, and a time to laugh ( see verse four, for example ).  Causes to weep abound in this sinful ( see Matthew 26:36-46 ( especially verse 45, for example ); John 15:19; and Acts 3:14, for example ) world.  The deaths of friends or family members is one example of a time of sadness.  In Ecclesiastes 7:1-4, it is written, "7 A agood name is better than precious ointment; and the day of death than the day of one's bbirth.  2 It is better to go to the house of mourning, than to go to the house of feasting: for that is the end of all men; and the living will 1lay it to his aheart.  3 1Sorrow is better than laughter: afor by the sadness of the countenance the heart is made 2better.  4 The heart of the wise is in the house of mourning; but the heart of fools is in the house of mirth. "  How many times do we see and hear on the news about sinners committing the sin of congregating at night clubs, for example ( see Proverbs 23:29-35, for example ).  These assemblies never end well.  The sin of drunkenness ( see 1 Peter 4:3, for example ) leads to violence, for example, and someone will usually get shot and injured or killed.  Psalm twenty-two is known as the Psalm of the Cross.  In Psalm 22:16, it is written, " 16 For dogs have 1compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have enclosed me: athey pierced my hands and my feet. "  The assembly of the wicked has not the things of Jesus Christ in mind ( see Philippians 2:21, for example ).  We should not be surprised, then, regarding the unnecessary suffering, for example, associated with night club assemblies, for example.  The reports of these events by reporters and television news anchors, for example, should be a reminder of what we, as Christians, should already know ( see 2 Corinthians 6:14-18, for example ).  Additionally, in 1 Thessalonians 5:7, it is written, " 7 For athey that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken bare drunken in the night. "  God has ordained, under normal circumstances ( see 2 Corinthians 11:27, for example ), that nighttime be the time for sleep.  Unfortunately, for sinners, nighttime can be a time of unnecessary weeping.

In Jeremiah 9:17, 18, it is written, " 17 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Consider ye, and call for athe mourning women, that they may come; and send for 1cunning women, that they may come: 18 and let them make haste, and take up a wailing for us, that aour eyes may run down with tears, and our eyelids gush out with waters. "  The prophet Jeremiah wrote ( see Jeremiah 1:1, 2, for example ), here, concerning professional mourners.  Again, in Mark 5:35-40, it is written, " 35 aWhile he yet spake, there came from the ruler of the synagogue's house certain which said, Thy daughter is dead: why troublest thou the 1Master any further?  36 As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only abelieve.  37 And he 1suffered no man to follow him, save Peter, and James, and John the brother of James.  38 And he cometh to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and seeth the tumult, and them that awept and wailed greatly.  39 And when he was come in, he saith unto them, Why make ye this 1ado, and weep? the 2damsel is not dead, but asleepeth.  40 And they laughed him to scorn.  aBut when he had put them all out, he taketh the father and the mother of the damsel, and them that were with him, and entereth in where the damsel was lying. "  The reaction, to the statement by Jesus concerning the damsel, is evidence, again, of professional mourners.  If we were attending the funeral of a dead relative, for example, and someone said that he or she was not dead but sleeping, our reaction would most likely be anger, rather than laughter.  The professional mourners were not related to the damsel.  Finally, in the context of Mark 5:35-40, concerning the professional mourners, this was a time simultaneously for mourning and laughter.  Please seek ye out of the book of the LORD, and read ( see Isaiah 34:16, for example ).  Please search the scriptures daily, as the Jews of Be-re´-a did ( see Acts 17:10, 11, for example ).  NOTE: The picture, located at the upper, left corner of this paragraph, was downloaded from the " bing.com " web page.1 🕮
