Heaven And Earth Will Pass Away.

The following quotation is provided regarding fig trees, namely: " The common fig tree (Ficus carica) has a short stout trunk and thick branches and twigs bearing coarsely lobed rough leaves (Gen. 3:7).  Rounded fruits ripen during the summer.  These sweet fig fruits have numerous small seeds in their interior cavity.  Fresh figs were favored as first fruits (Isa. 28:4; Jer. 24:2).  Figs dry very well and were stored as cakes for future use (1 Sam. 25:18; 30:12).  Jesus referred to figs and fig trees several times (Matt. 7:16; Luke 21:29-31).  Another kind of fig tree, the sycamore (Ficus sycomorus) grew in Egypt and in the warmer areas of the Holy Land.  This large tree usually has low-growing branches such as would have enabled the short Zacchaeus to climb one to see Jesus passing along the streets of Jericho (Luke 19:4). "1  Luke 21:29-31 is found in the context of Luke's account of The Lesson of the Fig Tree — the passage of Scripture quoted in the text box, on page one of the church bulletin, above, appears at the end of John Mark's account regarding this same lesson.  If we are going to learn lessons from anyone in this life, they had better be from Jesus.  In John 6:66-68, it is written, " 66f After this many of his disciples turned back and no longer walked with him.  67 So Jesus said to g the Twelve, ' Do you want to go away as well? '  68 Simon Peter answered him, ' Lord, to whom shall we go?  You have hthe words of eternal life '" ( Emphasis mine, R.E.W. ).  NOTE: The picture, located at the upper, left corner of this paragraph, was downloaded from the " bing.com " web page.2

The following equation is the late Albert Einstein's theory of special relativity: \begin{equation}\tag{1} E = mc^{2}. \end{equation} This equation " expresses the fact that mass and energy are the same physical entity and can be changed into each other. "3  The quotation in the previous sentence raises the following question, namely: How can something simultaneously be a fact and a theory?

It has been observed, in the church bulletin, above, that the Word ( see John 1:1, 14, for example ) is in us, as Christians.  In John 15:1-4, it is written, " 15 ' I am the r true vine, and my Father is s the vinedresser.  2t Every branch in me that does not bear fruit u he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, v that it may bear more fruit.  3 Already w you are clean x because of the word that I have spoken to you.  4y Abide z in me, and I in you.  As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. '"  In this passage of Scripture, Jesus ( see John 14:9 ) taught that each individual Christian, that is, each member of the church of Christ, is a branch on the vine.  Moreover, Jesus is the true vine.  Jesus said that we cannot bear fruit unless we abide in Him.  Jesus has commanded us ( see John 15:14, for example ) to abide in Him and, thus, He will abide in us.  Thus, the Word is in us if we abide in Him.

If equation (1), above, associated with the theory of special relativity is true, then it must not be called a theory.  The Bible teaches that the concept of relativity is a fact, and not a theory.  Specifically, in Genesis 1:4, it is written ( please read this entire chapter to get the immediate context ), " 4 And God saw that the light was good.  And God separated the light from the darkness. "  Implied in the concept of the separation of light and darkness is the four-dimensional space-time coordinate system.  This concept comes from the mind of God.  I would strongly recommend that the physics community come to a concensus to no longer refer to equation (1) as a theory.  Jesus said, " Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away. "  If, as slaves of Christ ( see 1 Corithians 7:17-24 ( especially verses 22 and 23, for example ), for example ), we abide in Him, then we have eternal life.  Please study the Holy Bible.
