In This Manner You Shall Eat It.

In Luke 22:14-17, it is written ( please read this entire chapter to get the immediate context ), " 14f And when the hour came, he reclined at table, and the apostles with him.  15 And he said to them, ' I have earnestly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer.  16 For I tell you I will not eat it2 g until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of God. '  17 And he took a cup, and h when he had given thanks he said, ' Take this, and divide it among yourselves '" ( Emphasis mine, R.E.W. ).  In this passage of Scripture, Jesus told His twelve disciples to divide the contents of the cup among themselves.  Thus, this is Scriptural authority for using individual communion cups for the fruit of the vine, when partaking of the Lord's supper.  The one-cuppers apparently ignore this passage of Scripture.

In 1 Corinthians 10:17-22, it is written, " 17 Because there is one bread, we who are many are c one body, for we all partake of the one bread.  18 Consider d the people of Israel:4 e are not those who eat the sacrifices particapants in the altar?  19 What do I imply then?  That food offered to idols is anything, or that f an idol is anything?  20 No, I imply that what pagans sacrifice g they offer to demons and not to God.  I do not want you to be participants with demons.  21h You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and i the cup of demons.  You cannot partake of the table of the Lord and j the table of demons.  22k Shall we provoke the Lord to jealousy?  l Are we stronger than he? "  Paul mentioned the Lord's table, here, and that is what is to be used for presiding over the Lord's supper — not the pulpit.  Those men ( see 1 Timothy 2:11, 12, for example ), who are members of a local congregation of the church ( see also Romans 12:1-8 ( especially verse 5, for example ); 16:16, for example ), who have been chosen to preside over the Lord's supper, are to stand behind the Lord's table.  Otherwise, why have a Lord's table in the church building to begin with?

Observing a moment of silence during the worship service is a sin.  In Revelation 8:1, it is written, " 8 When the Lamb opened u the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour " ( Emphasis mine, R.E.W. ).  God says that there is a period of silence in heaven, not during the worship service on this earth.

In 1 Corinthians 5:6, 7, it is written, " 6f Your boasting is not good.  Do you not know that g a little leaven leavens the whole lump?  7 Cleanse out the old leaven that you may be a new lump, as you really are unleavened.  For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed. "  Every time we partake of the Lord's supper, we proclaim the Lord's death until He comes, for in 1 Corinthians 11:26, it is written, " 26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord's death z until he comes. "  Now we have a better understanding of the phrase " In this manner you shall eat it. "  Please seek and read from the book of the LORD ( see Isaiah 34:16, for example ).
