And If You Pay Attention.

In James 1:1, it is written, " 1a James, a servant1 of God and bof the Lord Jesus Christ, To c the twelve tribes in d the Dispersion: Greetings. "  The phrase " a the Dispersion, " here, has three cross-references, the first of which is to 1 Peter 1:1, which reads as follows, namely: " 1 Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, To those who are elect exiles of a the dispersion in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia. "  The following quotation is provided regarding Pontus, namely: " PONTUS  (Pŏn´ tŭs) A province just south of the Black Sea in Asia Minor.  The terrain varies from fertile plains along the shore to rugged mountains farther inland.  The Greeks colonized the plains shortly after 700 B.C., but the mountains remained free of their influence.  Mithradates founded the kingdom of Pontus in about 302 B.C. and it remained in his dynasty until 63 B.C. when Rome took over.  Christianity spread to Pontus early.  First Peter was addressed to the elect there (1:2-2).  Citizens of Pontus were in Jerusalem on the Day of Pentecost (Acts 2:9).  See Asia Minor. "1  Cappadocia and Asia are also mentioned in Acts 2:9.  NOTE: The picture, to the upper, left corner of this paragraph was downloaded from the " bing.com " web page.2

It is easy for us, as human beings, to show favor toward those who are wealthy, and dishonor the poor.  In James 2:6, it is written, " 6 But you have e have dishonored the poor man.  Are not the rich the ones who oppress you, and the ones who f drag you g into court? "  Moreover, in Ecclesiastes 9:16, it is written, " 16 But I say that b wisdom is better than might, though c the poor man's wisdom is despised and his words are not heard. "

What is highly esteemed among men is abomination in God's sight.  In Luke 16:15, it is written, " 15 And he said to them, ' You are those who w justify yourselves before men, but x God knows your hearts.  For what is exalted among men y is an abomination in the sight of God. '"  We must be careful not to seek justification from men, but from God ( see Luke 18:9-14, for example ).

James, the half-brother of Jesus, wrote " and if you pay attention, " in reference to the one wearing fine clothing.  Does the wealthy man have more to offer than the poor man?  The LORD is the maker of them all ( see Proverbs 22:2, for example ).  Please study the Holy Bible.
